If you’re planning on storing your food in a Weck jar for a prolonged period of time, you’ll need these rubber washers to form an airtight seal and prevent bacteria from getting inside. Made from natural rubber, you won’t have to worry about any chemicals getting inside either. Clamps (sold separately) are also needed to form the airtight seal.
