The disc is returned by the customer when they reclaim their coat. The coat hangers are manufactured in polypropylene and have nail-heads which slot into the numbered security hooks. These consist of a metal ring with a plastic outer sheath which includes the security number. The numbered disks are manufactured using a two-layer plastic sandwich with the number engraved through the white face of the disc to show the black layer underneath. Number sequence 1-33.
